keep getting calls from this number and when I answer or answering machine answers they hang up

Got a few missed calls over the last couple of days. Then today got a call where someone answered. He said he was from telstra. given all the scams i didnt believe a word he said. SO i told him i was happy with my current provider and that i had to go. But he was very pushy. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I resent telemarketers ringing me whether it be the mobile or home phone.

When I picked up the phone, nobody spoke on the other side. ...

Believe this is a sscam. I'm reporting to the city attorney who studies here and see what action can be taken.
